Question
Dear Doctor, My Child aged 4 Years is suffering from SQUINT. Both her eyes are directed inward. We have had her checkup done every 6 Months at a medical facility. They say that her squint can only be corrected through surgery. I would like to know what kind of surgery is performed. Is there any risks or side effects of this surgery? Please Advise me the Same Worried Parent.
Answer
Please read the article on "SQUINT" on www.pediatriconcall.com for further details:

Surgery consists of loosening the muscles that are tight and tightening the muscles that are loose so that the eye stays in the neutral position.
