Question
Not sure if I can post this question here. But here it is anyways... We have a baby boy and today, my wife today mentioned that she has a lump on her breast and that it has been around from the day she started her feeding (4 months ago), but it is more prominent now. Any ideas as to why this lump might be there?? Any recommended course of action??
Answer
Lump could be due to collection of milk. If it is painless, one can give hot water formentation to the lump and gently massage it down towards the areola (the dark area around the nipple). If the lump is tender, along with the hot water and massage, mild painkiller may be required.
