| Question : |
My 8+ year old grandson still has tracheomalacia. Several times a year he has severe episodes of inability to breathe and requires emergency room care. Any suggestions? The data I find says this should be outgrown by age 2. Obviously it hasn't been. Thanks |
Answer |
Has the tracheomalacia been proved by examination of the trachea i.e. a bronchoscopy. If not, then one must find out whether it is really tracheomalacia or other causes such as vascular ring. |
