My newborn baby has a cephalhematoma. the lump has almost gone away.. my question is..can it affect the development of my baby..what aspects of his development are affected? can it develop into a cerebral palsy?
Answer
No cephalhematoma does not cause any developmental problems. Infact the swelling is on the skull and not in the brain. Cerebral palsy occurs when there is damage to the brain.
