I want to know in some cough syp (1)-dextromethorphan is added with bromhexine. Is this combination is correct as dexometh? Is cough suppressant & bromhex..is expectorant.(2)And in certain composition bromhexine is added with CPM where CPM dry the cough & bromhex is expected. Please comment.

They work by making the mucus thicker. Bromhexine is a mucolytic drug. It is found to reduce viscosity of mucus.
