Question
My son aged 3.5 years is getting cold quite often. he is also getting fever at the time of cold. First he was suspected to have mild asthma and advised tablet to prevent DT 1/4th bid. Now he is suspected to have sinusitis and prescribed a course of antibiotic. During the course also now he is having fever(39.4 C)what has to be done?
Answer
Since he is getting repeated cold, one needs to rule out sinusitis, tonsillitis and adenoids. A course of antibiotic may be required to control the infection especially since he has fever. If it is recurrent, a visit to an ENT is required to determine if surgery is required.
