Question
Daughter has had swollen lymph nodes under her ears, has taken antibiotics (zathura).Suppose to wait for 1 month to see if lymph nodes are normal. Her doctor is off today and I am really worried about the fact her nodes are still swollen, one has slightly increased in size. What kind of blood tests will her doctor want to do? Should I want a biopsy done ASAP or not? Can having a cat cause this? VERY WORRIED!
Answer
If the node is increasing in size in spite of antibiotic treatment, one needs to find out the cause. Certain blood tests and biopsy of the node may be required. Consult your doctor at the earliest.
