Question
I am 14year old male with recurrent, painful, swollen abdominal lymph nodes. Tends to occur with skin infection (acne, blocked pore), currently no skin infection. Previous history 7 mo concussion, periodic headaches, periodic blurred vision. Concern is the recurring lymph nodes where pain is felt upon palpating and with lifting of leg. Child is 6' and 135 lbs, very active (bicycle racer) - am I over-reacting is this somewhat normal for males at this age?
Answer
How were the abdominal lymph nodes detected? They are usually not detected unless one does an ultrasound of the abdomen. Those swellings could be something else and it would be difficult to comment without having a look at the same.
