Question
I've been wearing semi-soft lens for the last ten years. I am myopic and have a very high prescription. I just recently lost my lens and have been thinking if I can now move to wearing soft lenses. I wanted to know whether this is advisable for me because previously I was told by the doctor that because of a high cylindrical prescription, soft lenses are not really suited for me. Can you please confirm. I am going to turn 27 this October. - Thanks
Answer
A soft lens do not correct the cylindrical number. So if you have a high cylindrical number then soft lenses may not work. However, depending upon your status of the eye, your doctor would be the best guide.
