Question
My 5 year old was diagnosed with conjunctivitis and she really hates the process of having the drops put into her eyes. I don't want to waste this $40 tiny bottle of eye drops. When I do get them in she moves or shuts her eyes so tight that it the drops seem to come out. Should I be concerned about that? Also since it is only in one eye do I really have to put it in both? It is such a task to put a drop in one eye.
Answer
Yes, it is necessary to put it in both the eyes even if one is infected as it can spread to the other eye quite rapidly. Also, one it has gone in even if little comes out on shutting the eye, you need not be worried.
