Question
Is there any pre-natal treatment for turner syndrome?
Answer
There is no prenatal treatment for Turners syndrome. One can go for karyotyping on the amniotic fluid at 16 weeks of gestation and see if the fetus is affected and then decided regarding termination of pregnancy. Also ultrasound may be able to pick up heart defect, kidney defect and even features of turners antenatally. However, one cannot prevent Turners syndrome.
