Question
My 13 years son developed a lump in his chest near nipple since 1 months now he complaining of pain when it is touches is it matter of concern? And if yes then to which specialist I should take him please advice
Answer
What your child has is known as gynaecomastia (enlarged breast seen in boys). It is normally seen in boys at the time of puberty and is due to the hormonal changes. It usually resolves on its own. Only if it is very large or becomes hard, then treatment is required. Usually only one breast may be involved or there may be unequal involvement of both the breasts.
