Question
My son is 10 month old. For the past 2 to 3 months, he had graying of hair on his head, mainly on the back side. It is mostly light brown in color with some strands being white. Please advise what can be wrong or is it normal?
Answer
Grey hair in children could be due to genetic inheritance. It could also occur due to vitamin B12 deficiency or due to malnutrition or chronic diseases. Some genetic diseases can also cause grey hair to appear. You need to consult your pediatrician to find out the cause.
