Question
My three day old nephew has an abdominal mass (possibly a pulmonary sequestered tumor versus adrenal mass). On CT and MRI he was found to have "Enlarged Lymphnodes". Is this secondary to the mass, is it lymphoma? Is there any correlation between any type of mass and development of lymphoma? We've gotten no answers yet from the hospital docs.
Answer
One needs biopsy the mass or the lymph nodes to get the correct diagnosis. Sometimes CT picture may not be enough.
