Lymph nodes are glands present in the body that drain the lymph. They are one of the immune systems of the body. Infection in the area of the gland can cause it to increase and is called as lymphadenopathy. Lymphadenopathy can be due to several causes such as bacterial infections, viral infections, TB, HIV, Malignancy etc.
