One of my colleagues son is 4 years old, but is unable to walk. He has checked with doctors, but they hv said nothing is wrong with his brain & maybe he will walk later. He has tried ayurvedic medicines also. can you pls let me know the reason for this state of the child and the treatment for this, as I felt it is already too late and the child should be running now pls adv urgently. regards shanu |

If a child is not walking by 4 years, he definitely needs further investigation. Whether it is cerebral palsy, a muscle disorder, a nerve problem or a brain defect can only be dtermined after examining the child. Consult a pediatrician for the same. In the meantime, physiotherapy may be started to increase the power in the legs so as to assist early rehabilitation. |
