| Question : |
Both of my sons, aged 21 months and four years, have severe spoon nails which are constantly breaking and bleeding. When thier pediatrician did a CBC during check-ups today he said that the hemoglobin is "off the charts" good. If it's not an iron deficiency causing them - what else could be the culprit? Believe it or not it actually causes them pain...any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. |
Answer |
Apart from iron deficiency, one should rule out low levels of zinc, thyroid problems and do not use any nail polishes, nail polish removers, and nail hardeners. |
