Question
Please let me know if the squint of the eyes is hereditary or not. My husband and his mother both have it. I am pregnant and am constantly under he fears that the child might have a squint. Please let me know of any such possibility as soon as possible. Thank you.
Answer
Squint is usually not hereditary until and unless the parents have squint due to refractive errors i.e. due to spectacles number in the parents. Do you or your husband have glasses? If yes, then check out the refractive error in your child when he is born and also a retinal examination done to know whether he/she would require glasses so that squint can be prevented.
