Question
My daughter will be two years old this August and has severe eczema. She has just been diagnosed and since then she has been given several cortisone ointments and creams. I would like to stay away from steroids all together. Can you give any suggestions? Tatiana
Answer
The treatment of atopic dermatitis or infantile eczema is antihistaminic drops and in severe cases steroids either orally or as ointments. The best way to deal would be to avoid the things that cause the allergy such as artificial foods, drugs that contain coloring and even dust and mites. Ensure that your child receives all the natural food as possible. If your child has severe eczema, steroids may be required.
