Answer
What is the weight of your child? If she is small and has failure to thrive, she would need to be investigated. Also, did she completely recover from pneumonia and whooping cough or is that persisting? Wheezing is suggestive of bronchitis, be it infective due to a viral or bacterial infection or allergic wheeze. Viral bronchitis is very common in the rainy season and winter and is commonly due to influenza virus. The treatment would consist if medicines that braoden the air passage so that the child has no difficulty in breathing. If there is a family history of asthma she may need to be investigated regarding the same. It would be better to get her examined by a pediatrician to make sure that she is OK and also for further investigations if required.
