Question
I have an 8 year old daughter who still wet's at night. We have tried the standard things, I.E. nothing to drink after a certain time. Bladder stretching exer and such. She has now started to have U.T. infections and we suspect that wearing pull ups are the cause. What can be done??????????
Answer
Since your child has frequent UTIs, that itself could lead to bed wetting. Get your child checked for her cause of UTI. You could get her urine examined for microscopy and culture. A sonography of the kidneys could also help. Finally a bladder stimulation tests could be tried to find out the bladder capacity and accordingly treatment can be started. Consult a pediatric nephrologist/urologist for the same.
