Question
We recently saw an article on television about a cough syrup which should not be given to children. However, we are unable to recall which ingredient it is that supposedly is dangerous. Are you able to assist? Thank you.
Answer
Always remember that cough syrups meant for children are quite different from those for adults. Hence, cough syrups used in adults should not be used in children unless otherwise specified. Not only would the ingredients be different but also the strength of each ingredient varies in cough syrups meant for children and those for adults.
