I have type o negative blood. I was told that if I had a partner that had o positive blood I would have a chance after having my first child to have miscarriages then on. Is that sure?
Answer
A mother with RH negative blood group if pregnant with a RH positive fetus may lead to Hemolytic disease of the newborn. This is seen in the 2nd pregnancy. This may lead to jaundice in the newborn. However this is prevented by taking Anti D injections during pregnancy.
