What is a soothing remedy for welder flash burn? We have been told that putting raw potatoes on the eyelids, or using condensed milk would ease the pain. Do you have other suggestions. We will appreciate any advice. God bless you.

Burns on the eyelids have to be treated by a plastic surgeon as they can be dangerous leading to various complications such as infection and thrombosis in the brain. Potato peels are used to cover the burnt area to decrease pain and the risk of infection. However, depending upon the area burnt and the degree of burns, a patient may also require skin grafts.
