SPECIALIST ANSWERS
Question :
I have a question about the testicles and scrotum. Is it abnormal, or bad if the right testicle is the one that dropped? I heard the left is the one that normally drops. Not only that, but the scrotum and testicles don't seem very large. Compared to most other guys in the locker room, my scrotum is much smaller. It barely even hangs. Sometimes it does not hang at all. Thanks for helping out.
Answer
What you seem to describe is a condition called as retractile testis i.e the testis can go back into the groin and drop again into the scrotum. This is a perfectly normal condition. Regarding the size of the testis, there are charts which determine whether the size of the testis is as per the age. You can even consult your doctor who would measure the testicular volume and tell you if they are of normal size. If not, further investigations would be required to find out the cause.
