My son, who is 3 years 2 months has suffered from Nephrotic Syndrome 10 days back & has been discharged from the hospital. He has responded well to prednisolone & is on this drug treatment. I would like to know what kind of diet I should be giving to him from now onwards. Would highly appreciate if u can provide a diet list to me Thanking you Best Regards.
Answer
If your child has lost all his extra fluid, then he can have a normal slat intake. If he is still having edema, he should be on a low salt diet. Once, his protein in the urine becomes nil, he should take a good protein intake including pulses, eggs and milk.
