Question
My daughter has been vomiting since Sunday night, and the only symptoms she has vomiting fatigue, and stomach pain. I brought her to the doctors and they gave her a shot of vistrol to stop the vomiting, but she is still nausea. What should I do?
Answer
She needs to be evaluated for the cause of her vomiting. The commonest causes would be gastritis (often associated with pain in the stomach), hepatitis (again associated with fever, pain in right side of abdomen), and maybe even meningitis (associated with forceful and projectile vomiting with headache and fever). If the probable diagnosis is gastritis, then maybe she needs antacids along with the anti vomiting drugs.
