Question
Sir, My baby who is just one month old has got a problem in intestine, which is diagnosed as "Pyloris" as doctors told that this a problem in small intestine and a part of small intestine has got thick and it is congenital. Sir there is no pediatric surgeon over here even in Jhasi medical college and private as well so please advise me what I should do. Sir I have lost tow child before so sir I am very worried please give advise as soon as possible
Answer
Do you mean pylorlic stenosis? If yes, it is a congenital problem whereby the outlet of the stomach is thickened and the food has difficulty in passing from the stomach to the intestine. The child may present with persisting vomiting and inability to put on weight. You need to get him operated by a pediatric surgeon. You may have to take him to a bigger center in a metro city where such facilities would be available as the treatment is surgery.
