Question
My son now 9 months has Tracheomalacia. Doctor has told me this is common and may go away in time. He has no problem in eating or drinking. For months his snoring has gotten worse and he is very hoarse in his breathing when sleeping. My husband's other children had adenoids removed. Should I go to ear, nose and throat specialist? I am very concerned and want second opinion. Who would be the best qualified for these conditions? Thanks.
Answer
Tracheomalacia is a condition that leads to loud breathing especially on sleeping. Most children outgrow this condition as they grow older. You may consult an ENT to have a look through the laryngoscope to confirm the diagnosis.
