Question
My Gp has informed me that my son who can only pass small amounts of urine very frequently, has protein & nitrates in his urine, and has sent samples off for further testing. Please can you tell me what the Dr. is looking for? I am so worried about my little boy as he is finding this urine problem very distressing. Many thanks S Vye.
Answer
Since there are proteins and nitrates and he seems to pass frequent small quantity of urine, a urine infection should be ruled out.
