My 12-year old son (entering puberty) has had 2-3 positive-for-protein urine tests. He is otherwise in good health. He's also on Adderall (For ADHD) which can Adderall the body. What are the concerns / cautions we should be mindful of?
Answer
Proteins in urine could be due to a variety of causes such as exercise, fever, nephtoric syndrome and underlying kidney disease. What is important is to quantify the protein in the urine and find out if it is significant.
