Question
I have a 5 month plus girl baby. She received her 1st and 2nd dose of DPT, Hib, Polio, Hep B in the hospital but she took her third dose of these vaccinations in a private clinic. I have asked the pediatrician whether or not this would affect her but according to him this is okay. Is it true that an infant has to get all the follow-up vaccination from the same hospital/clinic as the vaccines used are different although they serve the same purpose?
Answer
There is no need for vaccination from the same clinic till the schedule to be given is followed. Ideally the same brand should be given and but different brands can be given if there is no other option.
