I have a 3 and half month old child, and he is getting the regular OPV doses as per the baby vaccination chart given by doctor. My doubt is after giving regular OPV doses is required to give him the polio doses in mass immunization camps like the one scheduled for 25Sept.2005

Yes, it is still necessary to give the pulse polio doses in addition to routine immunization to ensure that your child becomes immune to all 3 polio viruses. India is the only country in the world apart from Migeria that still has polio infection and these pulse polio immunization is started with the basis of eradicating polio from India.
