Question
My 4 1/2 year old son recently had antibodies checked for measles, mumps and rubella. He tested positive for all 3. His rubella antibody result is "greater than 175 IU/ML." Immune is greater to or equal 10 IU/ML according to the lab report. My son did receive the first MMR but did not receive the 4 year booster. Should I be concerned about such a high result?
Answer
No, since all his antibodies are positive, it suggests he is immune to all the 3 diseases and his immunity for them is good.
