Question
My eight week old grandson has started vomiting with no other symptoms. When should one be concerned or when should he be taken to the doctor? What causes this, if there is no fever or unusual crankiness?
Answer
A grade 1 to grade 2 is not much of a difference on VCUG as interpretation varies on expertise. If she has had no breakthrough UTIs and no further scarring of the kidneys on renal scan and she is growing well with renal functions in the normal limits and VUR on one side having disappeared, one can safely wait and see if the VUR disappears on the other side.
