Question
My 6 year old son has recently been diagnosed with grade IV VUR. He has had severe constipation since birth, and upon doing the Urodynamics study, it was discovered that there are problems with some nerves. It was also discovered that his angle reflexes are absent. He will be having more tests but I am trying to find out more info. Please help.
Answer
You need to rule out a neurogenic bladder (Bladder dysfunction due to spinal cord problem). An MRI of spine would be required to rule out spina bifida. For more details on spina bifida read the article on www.pediatriconcall.com or from the link given below:
