Natacha
My daughter is 27 months. She has several autistic characteristics. She can sing themes from movies, and she can repeat words (when she chooses),but not a lot of meaningful speech. Lots of jibberish and repetitive sounds. She has difficultly with social interaction, but is very affectionate to her immediate family. She has stuffed animal dogs (her puppies) that she loves, she's always got at least one. Macey does bark and growl, occasionally she bites me.
I can come to terms with Macey being autistic, but we have another issue that's very puzzling.
Macey hit all the developmental milstones on time, we noticed her speech delays first, then we watched her weight sky rocket up to 59 lbs in 1 year. My pediatrician did do thyroid & insulin tests after months of waiting and told it was what I was feeding her. Then she started getting a strong bitter-sweet smell to her urine. We switched pediatrician and did basic metabolic tests but nothing. I watch what she eats. This has got to be something metabolic. She is extremely tall for age, but grossly overwieght. She has at least 3-5 bowel movements a day. Its usually very loose and extremely foul.
I forgot to mention she was born with a large hemanginoma on her leg (35%). It has almost completely evolved, leaving her leg looking very vascular. She has had 3 hemangiomas pop up on her face after her first birthday they were the size of an eraser on a pencil. They filled with blood, lasted about a week, they bled a lot and then went away.
Macey is very active she has a beautiful tan except on the apples on her cheeks, its completely white.
She has inverted nipples, and a large amount of hair in the middle of her back above her butt.
