Cranio-Sacral Therapy is “Manual Medicine” practiced in North America for the last 35 years. It is a specific modality, its goal is to reach and manipulate the Dura Matter Membrane in the cranium till the sacrum (Cranio-Sacral System). It is a gentle, subtle, non-invasive technique. No equipment is required. Trained hands are the tools.
Techniques:
Mobilization of body fascia, release of the Dura Mater Membrane, loosen tightness around the cranial & spinal nerve roots exits. Thus, balance of the intra-cranial pressure and neurological functions are achieved.
Indications:
The modality has wide range of indications. Pediatric staff help babies after birth injuries and decompress cranial tightness to restore vitality and correct cranial deformities, Midwives and Antenatal staff help “mothers to be” with rigid pelvic floor to have easy labor time.
At school age , C-S T helps children with learning disability and behavioral changes. Orthodontic and Maxillo-facial surgeons find specific rehabilitation to their patients.
