Katie
My name is Katie. When I was going to have my first baby at the age of 21, I was very happy. I was 6 months along and on mother's day which was on a Sunday I felt him really move a lot for the first time and had my mom feel him. On that Wednesday I had an appointment like always and the doctor couldn't find his heart. So they did an ultrasound and told me he had died. The doctors told me that Turners is almost never found in baby boys. The doctors had to start my labor a week later. Due to the hard time they told me that I would never have another baby. Now at 26, I have a perfect 19 month old with not one problem and his name is Christopher

My Name is Anna. My first pregnancy went as good as expected and I had a healthy baby boy who is now 4 ½ years old. Then I decided to have another child. At 5 months pregnancy, they told me that my daughter had hydrops and Turners syndrome. At 5 ½ months pregnancy I had to choose between my life and the life of my daughter. What choice did I have but to induce labor and give birth to my daughter, who I named Faith. She was stillborn. I was 23 years old at the time. She was born September 25, 2005 . The hardest day of my life. I now have a new born son, Ben, in addition to my 4 1/2 year old, and my very own angel. It is a hard thing to go through. And it continues to hurts everyday.

I got pregnant at 18 years of age in January 2006. I did not have my first scan until I was 13 weeks pregnant which showed that my baby had cystic hygroma & fetal hydrops. I went for my second stage ultrasound on my 19 th birthday ( April 18th 2006 ) and it showed that the cystic hygroma was septated & was 10mm big (I was 14 weeks then). My baby's heart was slow and she ended up dying a few days later. I had to give birth to her on April 24th 2006 and I had a post mortem carried out which showed that she had Turners Syndrome and they said it was the most severe case of Turners syndrome you can get so there was no chance my baby would of survived outside the womb even if she did make it to full term inside. It was such a difficult time to go through and I hope nobody else has to go through it :(

My wife found out at 16 weeks that our child had Turner's syndrome. We had never heard of this. So many fathers take advantage of their living children. I don't understand… We got the test back and it just happens that it was not my fault or my wife's. It was the worst day of our lives. I am still hurting all. Always will my prayers go out to everyone going through this. You are not alone…
