There is good news about the treatment of VUR and the at is Deflux which is now being used extensively in the US. It is an endoscopic treatment which means it is far less invasive. It invloves injecting a small amount of inert gel into the area where the Ureter meets the bladder. It takes 15 minuites and 80 Percent of children are cured or improved, and they can have it safely repeated if necessary.
