Space Occupying Hepatic Lesions - Blood Picture - Introduction
Increase in alkaline phosphatase with normal bilirubin level is observed in either space occupying hepatic lesions (abscess or tumor) or bone lesions (osteoblastic metastasis etc). Increase in GGTP goes in favor of hepatic lesion. In bone lesions, GGTP is normal. SGOT & SGPT may be marginally raised in hepatic lesion.
