Adalimumab


Indication :

  • Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Uveitis

Dosing :

JIA and Uveitis:
>2 years:
10 to 14 kg: 10 mg SC once in 2 weeks.
15 to 29 kg: 20 mg SC once in 2 weeks.
30 kg and above: 40 mg SC once in 2 weeks.
Crohn’s disease:
Use only in children above 6 years.
17-39 kg: 80 mg SC followed by 40 mg after 2 weeks and then 20 mg every 2 weeks.
>40 kg: 160 mg SC followed by 80 mg after 2 weeks and then 40 mg every 2 weeks.

Adverse Effect :

Injection site pain, Headache, URI, nausea, infections, back pain, hypertension, rash, body pain, hypersensitivity, hyperlipidemia, abdominal pain, hematuria, increased alkaline phosphatase, fever, hepatitis, sarcoidosis, neoplasms, GBS, pulmonary fibrosis, alopecia, Steven Johnson syndrome, systemic vasculitis.


Hepatic Dose :

No dosage adjustments are recommended.
