Elosulfase Alfa

Mechanism :

Elosulfase alfa is a recombinant form of N-acetylgalactosamine-6-sulfatase, produced in Chinese hamster cells.


Indication :

  • Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA (Morquio A syndrome)

Contraindications :

No contraindications.


Dosing :

≥9 months:
IV 2 mg/kg once weekly.

Adverse Effect :

Headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, hypersensitivity reaction, fever, chills, fatigue, anaphylaxis.


Interaction :

No known significant interactions.



Hepatic Dose :

Specific guidelines for dosage adjustments in hepatic impairment are not available.
