Factor VIIa


Indication :

  • Hemophilia A or B with inhibitors
  • Congenital factor VII deficiency

Dosing :

Bleeding episodes in Hemophilia A or B:
90 mcg/kg IV every 2 hours till bleeding stops. Continue for 3-6 hours after bleeding stops. Post-surgical give for 5 days and then every 4 hours till bleeding stops.
Congenital Factor VII deficiency:
15-30 mcg/kg IV every 4-6 hours till bleeding stops.

Adverse Effect :

Headache, hypertension, flushing, fever, chills, vomiting, nausea, lethargy, or manifestations of allergic reactions.


Hepatic Dose :

No dosage adjustments are recommended.
