Mechanism :
Glutaraldehyde is a colourless liquid with a pungent odour used to sterilize medical and dental equipment.
Indication :
Contraindications :
Do not use on face, anal or peri-anal region. Protect surrounding skin and avoid broken skin.
Dosing :
Topical:
Dead skin is removed before application by using a pumice stone. Apply twice daily, allowing each drop to dry before next is applied. 10% solution is used.
Adverse Effect :
Stains the skin over which it is applied brown.
Interaction :
No significant interactions.
Hepatic Dose :
No dosage adjustments are recommended.
