Galsulfase

Mechanism :

Galsulfase is a recombinant form of N-acetylgalactosamine 4-sulfatase, produced in Chinese hamster cells.


Indication :

  • Mucopolysaccharidosis VI (Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome)

Contraindications :

No contraindications.


Dosing :

IV:
1 mg/kg once weekly.

Adverse Effect :

Chest pain, hypertension, pain, chills, absent reflexes, skin rash, pruritus, urticarial, abdominal pain, angioedema, arthralgia, corneal opacity, conjunctivitis, otalgia, dyspnea, antibody formations, infusion related reactions.


Interaction :

No known significant interactions.



Hepatic Dose :

No dosage adjustments are needed.
