Dr Bawaskar - Scorpion venom is poor antigenic and do not induce long term immunity. We have record victims of repeated sting and each time suffered of severe clinical manifesttaions. However venom does cross the placental barrier . In my record, mother who was stung by scorpion had signs and symptoms of autonomic storm and she complaint of decrease in foetal movement which was regained to normal during recovery with oral prazosin. Venom is excreted in milk.
