If a 1 and 1/2 yrs old having a weight of 10 kg, cough for 15 days, fever for 15 days, Montoux negative, but CXR showing hilar prominence. Can we rule out TB just by neg Montoux as he is having good weight?

Diagnosis of TB in a child less than 5 years is not simple. We have to get family history, H/O of present illness and X-ray and MT. This child, having good health and MT negative, is very less likely to have TB. If you want to rule out 100 percent, then CT thorax can help.
