What is the dose of
Cefixime
and
Ofloxacin
combination for both children in Enteric fever?

Expert Answer :
Cefixime and
Ofloxacin
combination is not required in the management of enteric fever. For children, you can not use Oflaxacin. Please use
Cefixime
in a dosage of 20 mg/kg in two divided doses for Enteric fever in children. Now a days defervascenes time for Enteric fever is 5 to 7 days, so continue only
Cefixime
and wait for the response.
