Can Meropenem or Cefixime be used in enteric fever?
Expert Answer :
Not required. Reserve these drugs for ESBL producing gram-negative infections especially in critically ill patients.

yes, but cefixime is not usually efective.

Cefixime should be used first unless there's resistance before considering Meropenem
